Indonesia is made up of numerous volcanoes, but Mout Bromo is our favourite. Hop in a four-by-four and speed your way across the ash flats at the foot of the volcano, or climb up to a nearby viewpoint to catch a gorgeous sunrise. The possibilities don’t even stop there, you can also hike your way up to the edge of the crater and peer inside, where you’ll be able to hear the grumbles from within!
This national park shouldn’t be missed if you’re thinking of travelling to Indonesia. One of the only places in the world where orangutans live, you can trek through the jungle in search of them with expert guides who know where and how to find them. For an ever great chance of spotting them and other wildlife, spend the night in a basecamp ready for round two the next day!
Ubud possibly the most well-known area of Bali and Indonesia as a whole. You may think it’s for luxury breaks only, but Ubud is an awesome place to visit when you’re travelling on a budget. If you’re planning to see the famous rice terraces, why not pay a visit with a twist, with this spectacular swing. It really lends to an eye-catch photo for the ‘gram.!
Located in between the East and West Nusa Tenggaru islands, the photo-ops on Komodo Island are endless. Hike up to one of the many viewpoints for some utterly spectacular views of the island and those surrounding it, or make your way to Pink Beach, named after it’s gorgeous cotton candy coloured sand! For a real treat, why not make your way into the National Park in search of some real-life dragons…
You might be thinking a waterfall is a waterfall, but Tukad Cepung is something special! After a climb down to the bottom of the cliff face and a little wade through the water, you’ll reach the hidden waterfall. If you plan your visit in the late morning, you’ll catch the beautiful sunrays shining through!
