Day 1: Welcome to Seoul
Your Korea K-Pop tour starts today! You’ll meet your Adventure Leader in the afternoon at your hostel, where they’ll provide you with a briefing that lays out what you’ll be doing this week. They’ll also provide you with some tips on adjusting to local life in Korea, as well as advice on how to stay safe. Head out for an optional group dinner with the rest of your tour-mates in Myeongdong. You’ll then all head to the Myeongdong Underground Shopping Center, which is well-known as a haven for K-Pop merch at bargain prices.
Then we’ll head off to our first unmissable experience on your tour! You’ll take public transport to Namsan Mountain, where you’ll get a cable car to the top. If you’d like, you can take a trip up Seoul N Tower for some spectacular views of the Seoul skyline.
Day 2: Trip to the DMZ
You have an early start this morning, as you’re taking an insightful trip northwards to the Demilitarized Zone. Once here, you’ll head to the Dora Observatory. Here, you can see across the border to the nearest North Korean villages using binoculars. You’ll also get the chance to visit the third tunnels – you’ll actually come as close as 170m to North Korea! Head back to Seoul just before lunch, where you’ll arrive in time for a remarkable conversation. You’ll have a Q&A session with a Korean defector, who’ll talk to you about their experiences.
This afternoon, you’ll follow in the footsteps of your favourite K-Pop stars, as you take part in an amazing dance class. K-Pop experts will teach you choreography step-by-step, and soon you’ll be dancing like a pro! Tonight, you have the option to enjoy a night out in Hongdae!
Day 3: Gyeongbokgung Palace & HIKR Ground
This morning, jump on public transport to Gyeongbokgung Palace. You’ll arrive in time to see the impressive Royal Guard Changing Ceremony, which happens at 10am. We’ll head to the hanbok rental store nearby where, if you fancy, you can hire some beautiful traditional garments for your visit to the Palace. Inside, you have a couple of hours to explore the residences, pavilions and gates of the stunning palace.
In the early afternoon, you’ll then head to Insadong, walking through Bukchon Hanok Village. Here, you can visit KTown4U, where you’ll be able to hunt for rare merchandise. After this, we will take you to the HIKR Ground. At this futuristic cultural centre, you’ll learn all about the K-Wave, and get the chance to make your own music video!
If you’d like, this evening you have the chance to join your group for dinner and drinks in Itaewon.
Day 4: Gangnam Style
This morning, it is time to visit Hallyu K-Star Road and see the infamous Gangnam Dolls. Take your photo with your favourite group’s doll! Around midday, we will explore COEX Mall and the endless restaurants, stores and K-Pop memorabilia, plus an iconic library and the famous Gangnam Style statue. Be sure to look out for HYBE Insight nearby in Samseong.
This afternoon, take a stroll through the BTS RM Forest, planted in celebration of the rapper’s birthday and as a reflection of his interest in preserving the environment.
Tonight, you have a free evening to explore one of Seoul’s more affluent districts, Jamsil.
Day 5: Next Stop, Gwangju!
This morning, you’ll transfer to your next base – Gwangju. You’ll check into your hostel in the afternoon, just in time to pay a visit to Chungjang K-Pop Star Street. This road was built in celebration of all the K-Pop idols from Gwangju who’ve achieved their dreams! While you’re here, make sure you check out the handprint art (featuring handprints from idols), the star memorial hall, and the fan zone – where idols have donated their own items for fans to look at!
You’ll pay a visit to the Hope World sculpture. Unveiled to celebrate BTS’s j-hope, who is a Gwangju native, the monument is inscribed with over 21,000 messages from ARMYs all over the world, before checking out Penguin Village – a mural village featuring arts and crafts and more murals of J-Hope.
This evening, you have the option to visit 1913 Songjong Station Market.
Day 6: Bus to Busan
Hop on a bus to transfer to the bustling Busan – the final stop on your Korea K-pop tour! Once here, we’re going to head to Gamcheon Culture Village, well-known as a popular filming location. BTS’s Jimin and Jungkook are both from Busan, so while you’re here don’t forget to check out their mural!
After, head to Songdo Beach, where you’ll take the Songdo Marine Cable Car across the water for some incredible views of the Busan coastline. Head back inland to the BIFF Entertainment Square to explore the trendy area, before you enjoy a free evening to spend at your leisure.
Day 7: Exploring Busan
Start your morning with a trip to the Busan Citizen Park. You might be familiar with the Park thanks to a famous visit from BTS’s V, and while you’re here you’ll have the chance to visit the spot and pose for a photo. After, you have the option to spend some time relaxing in a Korean jjimjilbang – a Korean bathhouse. While your tour guide might not join you for this, they’ll be sure to give you detailed instructions on how to get there. Alternatively, you may want to visit Dadaepo Beach – Jimin’s favourite place in Busan! Located on the Nakdonggang estuary where it meets the South Sea, this beautiful sandy beach also features a huge fountain at the entrance. You’ll spend some time exploring here, before you head back to the hostel.
Tonight, you’ve got the option of joining your group for a spot of K-Pop karaoke in Haeundae!
Day 8: Makeup Masterclass
This morning, you’ll transfer to Seoul via high speed rail. Once we’re back, you’ll head off for your final unmissable activity – a once-in-a-lifetime makeup masterclass with a team of leading Seoul MUAs. They’ll show you what to use and how to apply it to get the same look as your favourite K-Pop stars.
Day 9: Farewell
Bid farewell to your new tour friends, because sadly, today marks the end of your Korea K-Pop tour!
