Day 1-3: Kathmandu
Welcome to Nepal! We'll start our journey in this beautiful country by discovering the capital city with its stunning temples and emerging live-music scene. Hone your whitewater rafting skills with a scenic voyage down the Trishuli river before diving deeper into the heart of the country.
Day 3-4: Nagarkot and Bhaktapur
Learn the art of Momo-making before rising to witness a truly incredible sunrise over the Himalayan mountains. After marvelling at the views, we'll wander through the UNESCO world heritage site of Bhakatpur and discover another fascinating slice of Nepali culture.
Day 4-5: Monastery experience
A truly unique experience at a monastery in the mountains. Live like a monk and join their prayers, debates and meals. Visit the cave where the Great Master Padmasambhava meditated.
Day 5-6: Chitwan National Park
Arrive to witness elephants bathing whilst the sun sets. The next day, we'll jump into our jeep or dug out canoe and marvel at the scenery and wildlife. Spot leopards, monkeys, rhinoceroses and, if we are very lucky, the Royal Bengal Tiger!
Day 7-9: Pokhara
After a meditation class at the famous Maya Devi Temple - we'll head onto the backpackers haven of Pokhara. This lake-side paradise offers alluring panoramas and experience the full majesty of the surroundings whilst boating on the Phewa Taal Lake and gazing out at the Himalayas above.
Day 9-11: Poon Hill Trek or Yoga Retreat
It's time to pick between two enriching experiences with a choice of a trek or a yoga retreat. Both options come with a guarantee of superb views and a revitalising after-effect. You'll get the chance to sample the one you didn't pick before we leave as well.

Day 12-13: Bandipur
Amble amidst the streets of the well-preserved, idyllic village nestled amidst the mountains. Enjoy a farewell dinner of traditional Nepali fare before we journey back to Kathmandu together with an abundance of memories and photos to take with us.
Nepal Adventure Tour: Day 1 – Kathmandu:
We start our adventure through this mountainous kingdom in the nation’s capital, Kathmandu. Meet the group and your adventure leader at your hostel in the heart of the bustling Thamel District. Get to know your fellow travellers over a Nepali dinner and then we’ll check out the thriving Thamel District’s live music bars.
Day 2- Kathmandu
Hop on tempos, which are 8 person vehicles similar to large rickshaws, for a day tour covering the best sites of Kathamandu. Visit the holy monkeys at Swayambhunath Stupa Temple, call in at the Boudhhanath which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and end the day observing evening Prayers at Pashupatinth Temple.
Day 3- Trishuli River
Whitewater rafting down the Trishuli is a magical way to immerse yourself in the stunning scenery. Once we’ve successfully voyaged through the rapids, we’ll head over to Nagarkot and teach you the art of making Momos!
Day 4- Nagarkot, Bhaktapur and Pharphing
We’ll start the day with sunrise at Nagarkot, which is known to offer the most awe-inspiring views of the Himalayan mountain ranges. Travel on to Bhaktapur, another World Heritage Site, which is an ancient town filled with temples. Cool off in one of the city’s quaint courtyards and enjoy a dahi, a kind of yoghurt this town is famous for making. End the day in Pharphing, where we’ll start your Monastery Experience. As the sun sets, observe the monks’ debating class, their daily protection puja and finally tuck into a traditional Buddhist dinner. We’ll stay in a guesthouse adjoining the monastery this evening.
Day 5 – Chitwan National Park
Rise early to observe morning prayers, have breakfast with the monks in their refectory and walk to the cave where the great master Padmasambhava meditated. We’ll head over to the Chitwan National Park and arrive in time to watch the elephants taking a sunset splash in the river. Tonight we stay in the Tharu Community Homestay, designed to support local people from the village, who will also introduce you to their local customs.
Day 6- Chitwan National Park
Take jeeps on a safari into the jungle to see deer, birds, monkeys, crocodiles and the endangered one-horned rhinoceros. If you’re lucky you may see a leopard, sloth bear, or tiger (although sightings of these animals are rare these days). Afterwards, we venture on to Lumbini.
Day 7- Lumbini
Tap into tranquility at the Maya Devi Temple, known as the birth place of Buddha. Here you can opt to join a meditation class in this deeply spiritual part of Nepal. Having reached a zen-like state, we carry on into another dreamy destination: Pokhara. This town is loved by backpackers and offers jaw-dropping vistas of the Himalayan Mountains which you can enjoy over a lake-side drink.
Day 8- Pokhara
Opt to take a paragliding flight for a birds eye view of the mountains peaks, lakes and rivers below. Splash around in boats on the Phewa Taal Lake, where spectacular views of the mountains reflect on to the waters. Having had a jam-packed first week in Nepal, tonight is a chance to take it easy at the Movie Garden, a much loved outdoor cinema which shows classic movies nightly.
Day 9-11- Trekking or Yoga experience
Enjoy a once in a lifetime 3-day hike deep into the Himalayas, scaling soaring mountain peak and traversing glacially carved valleys. You’ll stop at remote mountain villages for meals and to spend the night. The trek is designed to be adventurous but enjoyable and very manageable for those with an average level of fitness. Alternatively, if hiking is not your thing, then you can instead do a 3 day yoga, mediation & wellness retreat, where your daily routine will involve a variety of yoga classes, guided meditations and other wellness activities such as mud baths or aromatherapy steams inhalations.
Day 12- Bandipur
If anyone who was on the hike is keen to try yoga, then this morning is your chance. Likewise, for those that opted for the yoga, meditation and wellness retreat, this morning you can take a short morning hike to experience the beautiful mountains. Alternatively just enjoy your well deserved lie in or perhaps a deep tissue massage. In the afternoon, transfer to an off the beaten track village called Bandipur to enjoy a walk through the town and its surrounding areas. Soak up the charms of this beautifully preserved village with its traditional buildings and mountainous backdrops.
Day 13- Kathmandu
Transfer back to Kathmandu, arriving back to the hostel in Thamal Distirct in the late afternoon, having completed your epic adventure though this mountainous kingdom. Fly out this evening, or we can assist in booking your accommodation tonight if you’re staying on. Alternatively, you can also opt to head back into the mountains for a 7 day trek to the Annapurna Base Camp, known as one of the most stunning hikes in the Himalayas
