My goal is to travel all over the world. However, since I don’t have that much vacation, I was very attracted to the offer of travelling to four countries in 31 days. The itinerary and the program offered also really appealed to me, and it was an unbeatable price.
My best experience on the trip… that’s a very good question! Here too, I cannot place one experience 100% above another. What stood out, however, were the cooking classes. This is where you learn the most about the culture and the food. ln Thailand, it was suggested as an optional activity, and in Vietnam we asked our super guide Bao to organise one for us – even though it was not offered as an optional activity.
My 6 hour bike tour through a traditional Cambodian village and the sunset quad bike ride in Cambodia also stood out the most from the mass of activities for me. At this point, however, I would like to emphasise that I can only speak for myself. Certainly many of our group would say that the party life that we also celebrated extensively.
The places that were definitely the most beautiful on the long trip were Chiang Mai in Thailand, Luang Prabang in Laos, Hoi An in Vietnam, and Koh Rong Saloem (Island) in Cambodia.
I loved getting to know the culture, the country, the people, and the food. So, I can’t favour anything specific because each country is individually beautiful and exciting. What was equally fascinating everywhere was the temple complexes – these are so full of love and faith.
I would like to name a few of my absolute favourite moments, of which there were a lot on this trip (laughs), so I cant just choose one favourite moment so here are a few:
Even with this question, it’s difficult for me to choose just one food!
Thailand – it was definitely the papaya salad.
Laos – it was the morning glory with garlic.
Vietnam – it was the pho.
Cambodia – it was fish amok.
Sri Lanka, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Bali – which is already booked! This year, I also have a short tour to Croatia to the beautiful city of Zadar.
I would like to thank the entire Dragon Trip team for working with such wonderful guides, for planning, and designing everything so well for us and for making this time so unforgettable. Prae for Thailand and Bao for Vietnam particularly stood out. I had a wonderful time with these wonderful people. It felt like a big family trip with them. I’m looking forward to the next trip with The Dragon Trip and more great memories.
