Travel the real Sri Lanka
On our Sri Lanka group tour- we sample a little bit of everything. Hikes in the hill country, cycling through the cultural triangle and relaxing on the beach are amongst the highlights. There’s also plenty of animal action as we discover the conservation efforts with turtles and elephants. Plus- get your adrenaline fix with a white water rafting experience – not to mention the gorgeous views, delicious food and friendly people.
About our Sri Lanka Group Tour
You can visit Sri Lanka throughout the year – the high season is typically December to April where you get consistently great temperatures and less rain. There is some heavy rain in May and June especially in the South. July can also be affected by the monsoon on the West Coast but this tends to reduce through the month and into August. September-December is also a very pleasant time to be in Sri Lanka.
On our Sri Lanka tour, you’ll take a combination of buses and trains. All modes of transport we use are clean and reliable, while also bringing a taste of the country’s daily life.
We stay in a variety of accommodation which helps to showcases the places that we visit. In the cities, we’ll stay in hostels that are well-located, buzzing and offer a snapshot into an emerging culture in the region. In the more rural areas- we’ll use more traditional accommodation.
A feature of all Dragon Trips is giving travellers the chance to sample the full range of any country’s cuisine. In Sri Lanka- the food is awesome- delicious, varied and affordable. We’ll ensure you get the best “rice and curry” and sample local delicacies such as hoppers. There’s plentiful delicious seafood and it’s easy place to travel for vegetarians and coeliacs.
There are tourist visas issued to the majority of nationalities without any problem. The price is $35 for a visa for 30 days and you need to apply at: www.eta.gov.lk.
