About our Thailand Group Tours

Travelling Sustainably

The Japanese are well known for not littering, and that’s something we ask you abide by all over Asia – but that’s not where ‘sustainable travel’ ends for us. We use public transport, stay in small hostels and ensure we work closely with the local communities.

The Adventure Leaders

Your Thailand guide will be a local expert, leading you through fascinating, budget friendly, authentic experiences. Adventure Leaders have the passion and knowledge to ensure that they can help you have a great time.

The People

Each trip is different, but our travelers come from all over the world and from every background. Before your Thailand group trip, why not connect with fellow Dragon Trippers or meet people on The Dragon Trip Facebook page?

About our Thailand Group Solo Tours

On a group tour in Thailand, we visit two of the country’s most vibrant cities:

  • Bangkok: the bustling capital city of Thailand, Bangkok is a metropolis that offers something for everyone. A melting pot of adventure and relaxation, from haggling at its many markets to enjoying a tuk-tuk tour across the city, Bangkok is a wonderful place to explore the past, present, and future of Thailand. As the day draws to a close, you will find that the city never sleeps – Bangkok’s nightlife is not to be missed, and offers new opportunities for the keen traveller to explore.
  • Chiang Mai: the very soul of Thailand could be said to exist in the ancient city of Chiang Mai, famously known as the Rose of the North – and rightly so. With its colourful landscapes and timeless aura, this historic city was once the capital of the Lanna Kingdom. Thailand group tours from the UK allow you to delve into Chiang Mai’s Old City, with centuries-old temples and structures, and befriend the country’s national animal, the Asian elephant, at one of the city’s ethical elephant sanctuaries.

Do I need a visa to travel to Thailand?

If you’re visiting Thailand with a British passport, you don’t need a visa for a stay of up to 30 days – so, no paperwork needed for your Dragon Trip! If you follow this link to the official Thailand E-visa website, you’ll be able to find out your individual visa requirements for Thailand.

Please note that your passports should have at least 6 months remaining validity, and bear in mind that additional documentation may be asked for at customs. For the detailed and the most up-to-date information, please contact your nearest Thailand embassy.

How many days should I spend in Thailand?

It depends on how many places you plan on going to! If you’re visiting a couple of spots, a few days will give you a taste of Thailand – enough to make you want to come back! On our 31-day Southeast Asia adventure, we spend the first 6 days of our tour exploring Chiang Mai and Bangkok.

What injections/vaccinations do I need for Thailand?

You can find full information on any vaccination requirements on the CDC’s website, the UK NHS website, or Public Health Scotland’s Fit for Travel website.
