There is no better time and place than trying cosplay in Japan during Halloween. Unlike Western ideas of dressing up as scary figures, in Japan, you can be free and creative to be who you want you to be. Check out mundane Halloween (Jimi Halloween (地味ハロウィン)) and you can see you can enjoy Halloween without fancy and expensive costumes or delicate make-up. All you need is just some creativity.
Don’t worry if you leave your best costume at home, you can always find some cheap wigs or costumes in Daiso or Don Don Donki. What other excuses do you have to not dress up for this amazing season?
Join Street parties

Now you are dressed up and tried the best Halloween-themed food, time to wander around the street and show off your best side.
If you are in Tokyo, head to popular spots like Shibuya to join Halloween street parties. This is the best time to open your eyes and see how Halloween is celebrated in Japan. Also the best time to make some friends and take some amazing photos.
Visit A Theme Park
Another must do for Halloween in Japan is to visit a Theme Park. From Disneyland Tokyo to Universal Studio Japan, all theme parks are doing their best to impress and attract visitors for this eerie season.
Amusement rides changed to gigantic ghost houses, characters parades became spooky but fun shows, Halloween is possibly the best time to visit theme parks in Japan if you wanna have extra excitement.
