About our Philippines Trips

Travelling Sustainably

Our Philippines group tour takes you through urban areas, rural areas and everywhere in between. Every step of the way we travel with respect and care. We use public transport, stay in small hostels and with local communities, and ensure we clear up after ourselves as we travel.

The Adventure Leaders

Your guide will be an expert on the places we visit and English-speaking, leading you through fascinating, budget friendly, authentic experiences. Whether that be showing you the hanging coffins, hidden waterfalls or best fried chicken joints.

The People

Each trip is different, but our travelers come from all over the world and from every background. Before your Philippines group tour why not connect with fellow Dragon Trippers or meet people on The Dragon Trip Facebook page.

Travel the real Philippines

On our Philippines group tour- we venture into a number of nation’s islands from the famous El Nido to more off the beaten track locations. You’ll be able to dive the “sardine run,” marvel at the Chocolate Hills and watch Coron’s magical fireflies put on an incredible evening’s light show. Our adventure leaders will unlock an intriguing nation and help you understand the nature of life amidst these stunning natural sights.

About our Philippines Tours

November to February is very popular with cool temperatures and very little rain. It does tend to warm up from March to May but it’s much cooler amongst the rice terraces and on higher ground. June to October tends to have more rain especially in July and August. The dry season typically runs from November to April.

On our Philippines group tour, you’ll take a combination of buses, ferries and flights. All modes of transport we use are clean and reliable, while also bringing a taste of the country’s daily life.

We stay in a variety of accommodation which helps to showcases the places that we visit. In the cities, we’ll stay in hostels that are well-located, buzzing and offer a snapshot into an emerging culture in the region. In the more rural areas- we’ll use more traditional accommodation. One night is spend at a beach camp in Coron and we’ll do one night bus.

The Philippines has an incredible range of cuisine and as with all Dragon Trips- our adventure leaders will help unlock its secrets and give you the chance to sample all the delights of the local food. One of the nation’s most popular dishes is abodo which is pork or chicken braised in a sauce containing bay leaf, peppercorns, garlic and soy sauces. With over a hundred ethno-lingusitic groups in the Philippines- there’s a huge amount of variation and we’ll be sure to take you to all types of different restaurants. No trip to Manila would be complete without a trip to Jollibees with it’s delicious spicy chicken.

Visas are not required for the majority of nations including the UK, mainland European countries, U.S/Canada and Australia and New Zealand for stays of up to 30 days.
