Yes they are. Nepal’s vaccination programme has been praised by countries around the world and WHO as they decided to prioritise refugees and the most vulnerable to prevent outbreaks in susceptible places. They have already administered 16 million doses and this number is growing day by day!
Nepal’s Covid cases are now back down to figures seen at the very start of the pandemic. The average daily cases are at 325, to understand how low this is for a country of 29 million inhabitants it’s useful to look at London, a city of around 9 million, where their daily cases are at around 4,500. So it’s currently safer to hang out in Nepal than it is in London!
There are some limitations on public transport, but we organise that for you so no need to worry! Apart from that, mask wearing is still advised. Because Nepal is vast and spacious, overcrowding is not a problem. The majority of our tour take place outdoors and in the mountains where as you can imagine transmission is very low!
