Itinerary & map
Day 1 – Bangkok:
Meet at 5pm at the Loftel Station Hostel. The group can relax and our Adventure Leader will take you out for a welcome drink.
Day 2 – Sangklaburi:
It’s an early start as we get the minibus to pick you up and take you to Sangklaburi, drop your stuff at the hostel and then it’s an afternoon of rafting action.
Take a jungle hike before jumping onto the bamboo rafts to glide back down the river. Blissful, relaxing and totally off the grid! We’ll then take half hour boat trip to the “underwater city”, the site of an ancient temple that’s partially submerged by water. It’s bizarre, beautiful and other-worldly and a truly sublime sunset ride. In the dry season you can actually walk inside but we love it best when the water covers most of the temple and you can just see the tops of the buildings. An Atlantis-esque view to enjoy with the sun setting and a cold drink in hand.
Day 3 – Sangklaburi:
This remote town plays host to a truly Thai cultural experience and one we’d thoroughly recommend setting the alarm for. Every morning the monks give alms and you can witness this ceremony with a mountainous backdrop. As the morning mist clears, follow the monks and look into Burma. You’ll be alongside the villagers going about their daily tasks and gain a unique snapshot into a slice of Buddhist life.
Your guide will take you out for a morning coffee before we visit a local NGO which provides education and opportunities for stateless children. We visit the centre, talk to the workers and see their various projects. Our favourite is their weaving centre creating beautiful hand-made crafts from only organic, vegan materials. The group will then head into Erawan National Park where your guide will lead you on some short walks before you pitch your tents and have an evening meal – get ready for a night under the stars!
Day 4 – Erawan National Park:
It’s an early start as you head out on a trek to see the amazing Erawan Falls. We like to follow Khao Hin Lan Pee Trail there, so expect some nice views as you go. Getting to the falls early gives the group a huge head-start on the day trippers, so you’ve got this natural paradise as your own personal playground! The views are stunning and you can cool off by jumping in.
After your time deep in the heart of nature, we think you have earned a touch of relaxation! Head back to the minibus which will take you to a spa giving you time to chill. You’ll bathe amidst the jungle-surrounded onsen and have a chance to get your energy back after the expedition. You can have a well deserved massage too, getting rid of any aches you might have from trekking! Settle in for a night in a hostel in Kanchanaburi.
Day 5 – Kanchanaburi:
This charming town plays host to a fascinating history. In the morning we’ll visit Elephant World- this ethical elephant sanctuary gives you the chance to wash these great creatures, get up close to them and discover how the sanctuary cares for the animals. There’s no riding and the sanctuary adheres to our high animal welfare standards.
In the afternoon, we’ll dive deeper into Thai culture with a demonstration of Muay Thai boxing and a chance to learn a few of the basics. Don’t try this at home! More into cooking than combat? Next up, learn Thai cooking skills that you can pick up from our expert chef teachers. End your day with a view of the “Bridge over the River Kwai” then, at night, check out the city’s well known night market and grab some dinner there.
Day 6 – Ao Nang:
In the morning, take a minibus to the airport where you’ll hop on a flight down to Krabi. You’ll be met at Krabi airport and we’ll make our way to the stunning island of Ao Nang. Take an afternoon to simply chill by the beach, you’re about to set off to explore paradise!
Day 7 – Ao Nang:
There are plenty of dreamy options to wile away a day in this stunning spot. We’ll start with a long tail boat-ride stopping in at various islands. We’ll end this journey through paradise by visiting the famous Railay Beach. An afternoon of relaxation awaits or venture up to the viewpoint and lagoon. From island-hopping to bar-hopping, tonight the group will visit a handful of the town’s bars and end up partying the night away at Luna’s…
Day 8 – Koh Lanta:
In the morning the group will head over to our next heavenly location: Koh Lanta. That afternoon, we’ll visit the Lanta Wildlife Centre. This non-profit organisation focuses on rescuing dogs, we’ll have a small talk from the staff and then help out by walking the dogs in the afternoon. There’s also plenty of opportunities to sample the beautiful beaches dotted across this stunningly beautiful island.
Day 9 – Koh Lanta:
Enjoy a day of kayaking as the group ventures out into the ocean. Hop across to Ghost Island, look back over some beautiful panoramas before pressing on to Talabeng. At the end of your kayaking journey you’ll discover some ornate caves to drift alongside. Afterwards, it’s time for a well earned rest and a beach-side lunch.
In the evening, sit back, relax and watch the sunset with a drink in hand.
Day 10 – Koh Phi Phi:
Start your day with a relaxing yoga class on the beach or, if you’d prefer, just some lounging about on the beach! Next up, take an optional visit to the wonderfully unique Little Hand Made Shop where the team will take you through their artisan produce.
We’ll then head to the ferry and hop along to our next paradise isle: Koh Phi Phi. From island-hopping to bar-hopping, tonight we’ll visit a handful of the town’s bars and end up partying the night away!
Day 11 – Koh Phi Phi:
We’ll kick off the morning with a group hike up to the Phi Phi viewpoint to grab a heavenly panorama. Take an afternoon to immerse yourself in the stunning scenery and beautiful beaches. If you’re feeling more adventurous, you can test your rock-climbing skills or kayak around the island.
In the evening, we’ll head over to check out the impressive fire show at a beach-side bar!
Day 12 – Koh Phi Phi:
It’s now time to bid farewell to the heavenly islands and farewell to the rest of the group. If you think you’ll still be feeling the wanderlust, extend your trip with a few extra nights on the beach. Any of our travellers get our special Dragon Trip rates!
